In August ISWAI set out to find a group of brand ambassadors that we felt perfectly represented what our brand stands for. You might have seen us tagging them on social media, but we realised we haven't done an official post to introduce them yet! These strong, intelligent and stylish girls are all UK university students and we have many exciting things involving them in the pipeline so be sure to keep an eye out for that! So without further ado, meet our lovely ISWAI Brand Ambassadors!
(Aaaaanndddd just as a head's up, it might be worth checking out these girls on social media, for ISWAI insights; cheeky exclusive discounts and sneak peeks of new products!!)
University and year of study? Newcastle University, Final Year
What course are you on? Marketing with Management
Describe yourself in three words... Optimistic, open-minded but a bit of a perfectionist!
How would you describe your personal style? I always wear colour, which I have found can be a rarity in girls my age. I usually stick to blue or nude shades, nothing too crazy, and always mix sporty comfortable clothes with quite girly pieces.
What made you want to work with ISWAI? I knew the brand and loved what it stood for, so I had to jump at the chance to be a part of helping to spread the ISWAI message and helping it grow.
University and Year of Study? I'm at Kingston University, in my second year.
What are you studying? Filmmaking
Describe yourself in three words... Bubbly, spontaneous and driven
How would you describe your personal style? My personal style is contemporary, preppy and comfortable.
What is your favourite item on the ISWAI website? My favourite piece is your Denim Print shirt.
What made you want to work with ISWAI? I wanted to work with ISWAI to be apart of the company's growth and success. I love fashion and what better job than promoting these amazing products!
University and year of study? London College of Fashion, first year
What course are you on? BA Visual Merchandising and Branding
Describe yourself in three words... Fun-loving, thoughtful and sometimes very giggly
What is your favourite item on the ISWAI website? I love the white floral lace set. It looks so elegant and is so versatile; I’ve worn mine so many times to so many different occasions
How would you describe your personal style? I would say my style is quite classic and elegant with influences from both modern day and vintage icons. I wear a lot of blacks and whites with just a hint of colour and I have a weakness for jackets and coats… I have about twenty!
What made you want to work with ISWAI? I love how ISWAI gives young designers the opportunity to showcase their talent and this I feel gives ISWAI a really unique identity.
University and year of study? University of Reading – 3rd year
What course are you on? Nutrition with food consumer sciences
Describe yourself in three words... Outgoing friendly Open-minded
How would you describe your personal style? I think my style is quite laid back and sometimes bohemian – I love snuggly jumpers in the Winter and I’m obsessed with boots but my summer style is loose dresses, baggy Ts and always sandals!
What made you want to work with ISWAI? (Apart from my love for the clothes!!) I think my personality really fits the essence of the ISWAI brand – I have a permanent case of wanderlust and always make the most of opportunities and circumstances. I don’t believe in getting “embarrassed” and I am never afraid to show my flaws, which is quintessential in the ISWAI girl, who is described as someone: “with big dreams, a positive mind and an open heart. She values her independence above all else. Her style is effortless and her life is limitless. Minimum fuss, maximum impact.”
University and year of study? Durham University, in my third year.
What course are you on? I'm studying English Literature.
Describe yourself in three words... I would describe myself as warm-hearted, imaginative and driven.
What is your favourite item on the ISWAI website? My favourite item at the moment is the black ‘Fate Loves The Fearless’ sleeveless tee!
How would you describe your personal style? My personal style is relaxed and minimalist. I like to wear investment pieces that never go out of style. I wear clothes that I feel good in and that suit my active lifestyle, and lively personality. My summer uniform is denim shorts, simple tees, and soft, lightweight layers. Although I am very much a summer girl, when autumn and winter come around I love being able to put on a great pair of jeans, a cosy jumper and pair them with my favourite leather jacket and boots. Although my style is simple, I love adding to it with jewellery. I wear a lot of delicate, silver rings, necklaces and earrings. Because my style is quite laid back, a few finishing touches never go a miss!
What made you want to work with ISWAI? I wanted to work with ISWAI because it is such a fresh and exciting brand! I love the clothes, as they suit my own personal style, and I was particularly drawn in by the ISWAI philosophy. The passion and creativity behind the brand are what attracted me, along with the description of the ISWAI girl: ‘big dreams, a positive mind and an open heart.’ I think the ISWAI girl is a great role model, and I wanted to become part of a team with such open-minded positivity! I think the ISWAI motto, ‘it's time to start living the life you have always imagined’, is a perfect life mantra. It promotes inspiration, aspiration and following your dreams, which is something I stand for and wanted to become a part of.
University and year of study? University of Bristol, Year 2
What course are you on? Spanish
Describe yourself in three words... ambitious, independent and creative
What is your favourite item on the ISWAI website? I love the Selene collection so much, but my favourite item would probably have to be the new cream and navy colour block sweater- it’s to die for and it makes me long for cold weather so I can wear it everywhere!
How would you describe your personal style? It’s very low-maintenance and versatile. It sounds really contradictory, but I would say my style is very preppy with a little bit of scruff thrown in; I love to wear feminine, tailored pieces and beautiful knitwear, but team them up with trainers and messy hair. In Bristol it’s almost always rainy or windy, so I’ve learnt to embrace it and work it into my look!
What made you want to work with ISWAI? I have known for a very long time that I want to work in the fashion industry and I think that working with ISWAI is an amazing opportunity to dip my toes in; not only does it create beautiful clothes, jewellery and accessories, but also has a blog and values social media. It’s the perfect example of a 21st century brand, and I love that it has its own unique look and an identity that extends beyond the products into its own philosophy; it represents a lot of what I believe in myself.
